Why Israel Is Talking to Its Enemies...

This is the title to a recent Time article. Bush may condem those who engage in this practice, but with his failed policies, he has no room to say anything!!! Give it a try, Israel.... if it does not work then go back to the tough approach.

A brain cancer - yuck!

Well, old Ted Kennedy has the health insurance, money and the stubborness to fight it. To be fair, he DID advocate various health care programs for the general public. Whether you like his kind of proposals or not, you have to give him credit for caring about it.

This is one of those times when his fellow Senators of both parties and members of the House of Representatives showed grace in expressing their well wishes and concern. Probably, tomorrow, they'll be back to bickering.

I wonder if old Sean Hannity will have some kind words for him? I'm sure he is eager for the old Senator to retire. Frankly, I think I'd like to see that old Democrat, Robert Byrd retire before Ted. Both are colorful characters, for sure!

Just a regular lil' Coal Miner's Daughter!

Acually, I did not expect Hil(Billy) to do as well as she did in West Virginia. She's gettin' good at emulatin' the country folk talk... To me, that is like being around a bunch of black people and trying to talk jive... Fake! Well at least from me it would be fake...

I'm not trying to diminish or ridicule West Virginia. I'm sure it is a beautiful state. But those who are rural tend to be white and the Democrat ones like Hillary. This is now proven.

Well, heck, I might as well talk about race as everyone else does! For me race or religion (as I've said many times) is not the deciding factor. Hell, it's wide open to me: I might even vote for the old white guy!

It's bound to happen....

Overheard was the speculation that China got this devastating earthquake because they were not Christians.... Hmm.... The comeback answer was that all those innocent little children were harmed!

Um, I stayed out of that one... Just because I believe in a higher power does not mean I don't believe in science. A study of this planet shows these things just happen. And throughout history innocent people have perished to natural forces every year. How am I to know how God figures in all of this??? I don't think any human has that capability.

I also don't get wrapped up in this end of the world hysteria. Yes, as I've said before, a big rock could come out of space at any time and end our existence. Aside from that, the turbulent planet will continue to spasm at times... Unexpectedly!!!

I'm now wondering if the waves generated from the massive quake will resonate through the planet and loosen something up on the American West Coast...

Obama cuts Clintons Super Delegate lead to one...

Now, what the heck is supposed to happen when she solidly wins West Virginia as the polls suggest??? If Obama is to really claim top spot, he needs to do well in Oregon. People will understand about W. Virginia with it's white workin' class coal miners and such. But if Clinton also does well in Oregon, then there is a problem...

Nothing is decided...yet!

It's a split decision with Clinton moving toward winning Indiana and Obama in North Carolina. I doubt the delegate count will shift much either way. I can not conceive of Hillary just dropping out after this. But I hope when all is said and done by June 3rd, one of them calls it quits.

Either that, or I hope the selection process goes smoothly at the Convention. Polls now show it to be a close race between McCain and either of those two. Right now, Hillary seems to be more competitive against McCain.

If McCain should win this year's general election, I don't want it to be in a romp. He needs to get the message that we are REALLY tired of Bush cronies. Of course we do NOT want a repeat of 2000! Let the popular vote represent the actual President.

Clinton explains need for gas tax holiday...

I'm with Obama on this one. Those taxes go directly into infastructure improvements, or so I've read. After that massive bridge collapse last year, I don't think we need to slack off on highway improvement. It is the kind of thing, anyway, where you want people to use less gas so that there could be a bit more supply. Not that the removal of the tax will have people out there driving more, because the cost of the gas is way more than the tax.
